When your contact address is not set, you'll see:

Although standards are not followed, the word here is actually a link. Click on this and you can set your email address, but remember you should use an address off of the server you are setting it on instead of one from your hosting account domain.
How do I backup my website or mySQL database with cPanel?
First, you of course need to login to cPanel, after this choose "Backup" from the main menu.
Click the link which says "Download Today's Home Backup." NOTE: do NOT use the link "Generate/Download a Full Backup". You won't get what you want from it.
You should be prompted on where to save the backup file. Once you tell it where to save cPanel will generate the file and it'll be downloaded to your computer.

Website backups do not include mySQL databases. If you have one or more databases you'll need to download backups of them seperately.
From the same page in cPanel as you downloaded your home backup above you'll see each of your databases listed near the bottom under the "Download a MySQL Database Backup" heading.
To download a compressed backup of each database you have simply click it's name. You'll be prompted for where to save the backup file. Once you tell it where to save to cPanel will generate the file and it'll be downloaded to your computer.
Creating an Email Forwarder in cPanel
Click the Mail Icon on the main menu of cPanel. After this click on the Forwarders link.
Click the Add Forwarder link.
Now enter the email addresses to forward from and to and click Add Forwarder.
How to create a sub domain
Sign in to your control panel. Look for the "Subdomains" icon and click it.
This will take you to the Sub Domain Maintenance screen. To create a sub domain named "demo" on "YourSite.com" you would enter the name, "demo" into the box provided. Be sure that the proper domain, "YourSite.com" is selected in the drop-down menu next to where you entered your sub domain's name (this only applies if you have multiple domains on your account), and click the "Add" button.
You will get a message stating that the sub domain has been created.
There will be a folder created with the same name as your sub domain (in this case "demo") within your account's "public_html" folder, this is where you'll place the files for your new sub domain.
Notifications with cPanel?
cPanel will automatically send an email to admin@domain.com when the account is nearing the specified bandwidth or disk space levels. If you do not use an account named admin, we suggest you setup an admin email account to forward to a used account on the domain.
